The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Difference
I just finished reading an interesting book by Malcolm Gladwell called The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference. It is such an interesting book that compares business and product success with the spread of epidemics. What causes certain things to catch on with everyone, while other things never make it beyond a small niche? The point at which it crosses that threshold is called the tipping point. Gladwell makes several good points, including focusing your marketing efforts on certain types of people that will spread the word faster and much more effectively than others. Anyone interested in marketing or psychology/sociology should read this book. It reminded me of the same style as Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything
, which is another book I’d recommend everyone read.
